Process: The process of operations begins with a customer making an inquiry to the Marketing Department of an organization. Once his inquiry is registered by the manufacturing company, the product description and quantity of material wanted are entered. From this, a material quotation is drawn up and a customer purchase order is made.

Next, a Contract Review and Order Confirmation is made, a manpower plan and a material costing are drawn up. A work process plan and the sequence in which it will be executed are also made and delivery dates planned. Testing of the product for the highest level of quality are also carried out, followed by a machine load plan, assembly plan and process plan.

Transport details, preparation of an invoice and delivery challan and purchase order follow, and the process ends in sending the final product to the customer.

An important aspect of this entire process is the three-level hierarchy maintained for security and for reconfirming the authenticity of the product before it goes on to the next level of production. At each level of production, the product passes through three personnel’s scrutiny and only on each one’s approval does it pass on to the next stage of production.
